Best of 2009
Leave your top 10 list in the comments. Music, books, shows, movies, parties, etc. It's important to think about what a great year this was and show people how cool you are. Don't embarrass yourself by putting something lame.

dear pen pal letter to peter helmis...
dear pen pal,
i have grown 3 inches since the last time we talked. the summer has been great, is it weird where you are from? my mom says that people who stay to long in new jersey tend to get sick more. the house that i live in is very nice, i bet where you are is nice too. Do they have giraffes where you live? I wonder. Yesterday i was shown this video that made me smile, hope it does the same for you.Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Pat Band List
I'll make the links later when I'm at home. Right now i'll just list bands. You need to write down instruments you played too. YOU CAN BE IN ANY OF THESE BANDS I NEED MEMBERS.
Pennsbury School band
Trombone
4th grade till 10th grade!
Pat fortenbaugh 1
2005- present
Pat Fortenbaugh: guitar, bass, electric guitar, recorder, kazoo, tamborine, drums, violin, keyboard, floor keyboard, trombone, toy saxaphone, xylophone, some more I can't remember
Certified Platnum
2007- 2009
Sean Fortenbaugh vocals
Pat Fortenbaugh drums.
Peter Helmis played guitar then Robin replaced Peter, then this kid Joe replaced Robin, then we practiced with a different Pete to replace Joe. Then Certified Platnum became a rap band.
Take That
2008- present
Pop punk band, There are 7 songs I only recorded 2. The two songs have two different people drumming, i played guitar, bass and sang. I reallllly still want to do this band! I NEED a drummer and a bass player BUT A DRUMMER MORE.
uke nukem 2009- present
I bought a 4 track and recorded 8 or something songs in one day. All the songs are on the same track. It's good though! If you want to be in this band you can too!
Disaster Area
2009- present
Weird electronic. The first bunch of songs were made on a synth program for ds called korg DS 10. Then I got bored and used the cubase LE program and my 4 track. Recently I came up with a live show for this band consisting of 2 keyboards, a drum machine, and this tascam vocal trainer thing that messes with vocals. I really want to do a live band with this. The new stuff is influenced by Kratwerk if your into that sort of thing. I need someone in this too! PETER DID YOU EVER GET THIS CD?
I also jam out with my little brother donald expect to hear a recording of that soon too.

alien late night hockey BBQ
After weeks of Ben telling me I have to subscribe to this blog and write some things on it i decided that Friday night at quarter to 5 is the perfect time.
Tomorrow there will be a BBQ on my porch and all from the Y are invited. We are going to start around 5ish.
If you cannot attend please reply with a statement stating your reasoning for the likelihood that a hockey game between aliens and genetically enhanced cattle is or is not possible.

white racial profiling
so i was pulled over and searched today because i was a "white guy in a black neighborhood". he told me this after he found no other reason of pulling me over.
he thought I was buying drugs from black people.
that sucked

Pat Fortenbaugh 2009 edition.
It has been a while....Let me reintroduce myself. I'm still pretty nerdy, I don't really read comic books or play video games anymore, but I watch a million movies. I recently graduated college with a degree in ECE. I still have the same same apartment. I've been in the same job for over 3 years now. I play a bunch of music, usually violin, but I am in four bands( im the only member of all of them) we should chill.
PS. Peter, Jeffery Lewis is playing in Doylestown May 26, and in Philly May 27, it's $8

listening to halfway to holland
i had some halfway to holland song stuck in my head and with a little searching i found the demo of course it was in the last place i looked. this thing still holds up. mucho teen age angst from a young peter helmis. i kinda think i sorta mind it that this is the only recording i have. pete, was there another demo floating around that i dont have? i think i would ask one more time if i weren't so tired but let me know.
Some Things Never Change
Hey guys, remember how I was always paying lots of tickets and maintaining some sort of trouble with the law? Well, it recently came to my attention that there were warrants issued for my arrest in 2 states. Pennsylvania (trespassing at the LMT pool) and New Jersey (traffic violation). Both un-resolved obviously. A missed court day at Niagara Falls for climbing over the guard rails would've made a hat trick but I rescheduled and Lertch and I drove up there this winter. Just thought it might help some of you sleep well knowing some things never change.

greetings from baltimore
whats up jerks. i haven't heard from some of you in years, hope all is good. i've been living in baltimore since i've been back and having a blast. since i came back i have been playing mad music, i have 3 bands now and also joined dawn treader. i'll post some recordings when i can so you can peep the jams.the band i'd doing vocals for, pansori, should be playing at the mill creek tavern on may 17th if peter got us on that show, you should come out and have a brew. living in the barclay house is also the shit, everyone who lives here are solid dudes. other then that i have just been chilling and looking for a job down here . also for anyone who cares my new number is 267 907 3464.
peace.
peace.
The Union is coming.
me and the bros went down to the rally for the newly named Philadelphia Union, at city hall today with the sons of ben, a local supporters group for are soon to come major league soccer team. it was really fun and the sons of ben are pretty rowdy. They already made up songs and chants to do at the new stadium in chester. Just wanted to share a link to the sons of ben website with everyone , the main reason is because at the new stadium there is a supporters only section where you have to be a legit member of a supporters club to sit there but i can guarantee that will be the fun section. anyway check out their site here. http://www.sonsofben.net/
